More Than a Wine Tour of Spain      


MORE THAN A WINE TOUR OF SPAIN….

1-12 July, 2008

This is a preliminary announcement of a two-week tour of Spain in early July, 2008, with the following features:
  • Simultaneous translation with electronic headsets for all visits, performed by an accomplished translator.
  • Visits to include large and small producers, traditional and non-traditional, and some of the most famous in Spain.
  • Varieties to be emphasised will include Tempranillo, Graciano, Mencia among reds, and Albarino, Godello and Verdecho among whites. You will meet the leading producers.
  • Each region visited will have the Australian homoclimes identified.
  • Emphases given to viticulture, wine making and marketing.
  • Wine regions to be visited include Jerez, La Mancha, Madrid, Penedes, Priorat, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Bierzo and Rias Baixas.
  • Tourism opportunities in Seville, La Mancha, Toledo, Madrid, Barcelona, Rioja and Galicia with professional guides for highlights.
  • 3-4 star hotel accommodation, with cooked breakfast, lunch every day and 6 group dinners featuring local cuisine and wines.
  • Single, twin share or double accommodation available.
