Intensive 3 day course in Viticulture

Would you like Dr Smart to offer "College
in a Coach"
in your region?
Dr Richard Smart taught viticulture at Roseworthy College for six years. In this time he learned a good deal about the effectiveness of education. These ideas helped to shape College in a Coach, with its aim of providing an intensive, yet time and cost effective learning experience. This course is designed for people who want knowledge, and not formal academic qualifications. A number of College in a Coach courses have been held since 1995, in the Yarra Valley, Mudgee, Hunter Valley, Margaret River, Rutherglen, McLaren Vale, and California
The syllabus is designed around "need to know' subjects, essential for properly managing a vineyard. There are four teaching'g sessions per day with three for the final day. These sessions are a combination of tours and illustrated lectures with guest speakers.
College in a Coach uses highly recommended text books, which can be purchased prior to the commencement of the course. We mail a list of recommended texts, with an order form. Each student is provided with a comprehensive, specially prepared manual which is used to accompany all lectures.
A certificate of attendance is issued at completion
of the course.
